After spending more time than ever with your partner or spouse, you may find yourself looking for ways to keep the spark alive and create some excitement. The good news is that, even though you’re inside, there are so many ways to have fun, connect on a deeper level and feel like you’re falling in love all over again.

The Breakfast Date

Breakfast plus a date – need I say more? Plan a Saturday or Sunday morning where you both cook pancakes or your favorite breakfast food. Get each other’s favorite ingredients and plan out your meal. Then, make a pretty plate with a flower or two and hop back in bed. Drink your coffee together and spend time lounging and having breakfast in bed.

Make a Fort

Old school, but so fun. Grab a few blankets, chairs and maybe some string lights. You and your partner can pretend you’re camping under the stars and cuddle up close. Bring a laptop so you can watch your favorite movie with popcorn or other snacks. If watching a movie isn’t for you, you can ask each other the 36 questions that lead to love. Or try asking your partner if there’s anything that you don’t know about them, then they can ask the same for you.

Get Artsy

There’s never been a better time to explore your creativity just for the fun of it; it’s even more fun if you have your partner involved with your learning. Take up painting, sculpting or even just coloring together.Maybe you can even paint each other… literally. Play your favorite songs and just relax, tapping into your creative side with your loved one.

Make Dinner a Surprise Event

One night, have your spouse wait in the other room while you cook them a surprise meal. The next night, they cook you one. Both times, it’s a surprise. Keeping things interesting and fun, the anticipation will drive you crazy in the other room waiting to see what they’ve made you. Also, cooking a meal for someone else is one of the most thoughtful things you can do.

Hand-Write a Love Letter

If you’ve been in the same space with your partner for too long, it may be difficult to zoom out. Take some time to yourself in a different room and think of all the reasons you love them. Write them a heart-centered letter filled with compliments, memories of times spent together and anything else you want to share with them. You’ll feel more connected, filled with love and excited, guaranteed. Not to mention, then you get to see them read it and feel amazing!
